Research Based Dental Pain Control Regimen

1. Immediately take Acetaminophen 1,000 mg  (Tylenol/ Paracetamol) 

Wait 2 hours then->

2. Immediately take Ibuprofen 800 mg 

Wait 6 hours then start back at 1.->

*this means you are taking each medication every 8 hours

You should not exceed 3000 mg of acetaminophen and 2400 mg of Ibuprofen per day

This regimen should not exceed 5 days duration, and should be done only “as needed”

Pain will peak at 72 hours and should progressively get better, if not, please contact the office.
